Rep. Ulery is serving his first term as a member of the House and represents Hillsborough County District 27, the towns of Hudson, Litchfield and Pelham.
Rep. Ulery has worked in insurance and other investigations for nearly 20 years. Since 1994, Rep. Ulery has been a member of the New Hampshire League of Investigators' Board of Government and has served as the secretary of the organization since 1996. In 1998 and 2001, he received the President’s Award for service to the profession in New Hampshire.
Rep. Ulery has worked to keep public records open and easily accessible to the public. He strongly supports the Right to Know law in New Hampshire and believes that Part I, Article 3 of the New Hampshire Constitution does not advocate anonymity in society, but rather that it promotes social, civic interaction. In 2004, Rep. Ulery was appointed to the New Hampshire Supreme Court Task Force on Access, chaired by New Hampshire Supreme Court Chief Justice John Broderick.
Prior to working in fraud investigation, Rep. Ulery was one of the first paramedics in New Hampshire. He worked in Boston and Lowell, Massachusetts and at the Bryer Motorsport Park in New Hampshire, now New Hampshire International Speedway.
